Hiroshima

There has never been a more devastating event in war more than Hiroshima nuclear bomb. In a matter of seconds almost an entire city is wiped out. On the 6 August 1945, over 70,000 people were killed instantly, and another 70,000 suffered fatal injuries from the radiation.

The last standing building was originally the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall. The ruin of the hall serves as a memorial to the people who were killed in the atomic bombing

Today the city is almost unrecognizable and has largely moved on, except of some remnants of the tragedy.
